About the Founder

Jaysinharaje Shankarrao Mohite-Patil also known as Bal Dada, is the founder of this park. As a token of love, he gifted this park to his grandson Sayaji on his birthday. Jaysinharaje Mohite-Patil, is a respected cooperative leader. Following his father's footsteps, he too is working dedicatedly and contributing extensively towards Akluj's social, cultural, political and educational enrichment. With his tireless efforts, he has turned Akluj into a developed town and a popular tourist destination. Situated on the bank of River Nira, the town and surrounding area is agriculturally rich. Thanks to untiring efforts of visionary cooperative leader Shankarrao Mohite-Patil, Akluj is home to a large sugar factory of crushing capacity of 6000 MT per day. The Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite-Patil Cooperative Sugar Factory is the pride of Akluj and is driving the economic growth in the region.
